April 23, 2008Music stores in Hong Kong

Tom Lee Music is the biggest music store in Hong Kong, with outlets across Asia and Canada. Every type of instrument is available there, from acoustic guitars to electronic drums and keyboards. The Cameron Lane (Tsim Sha Tsui) location is the historical first shop in Hong Kong; the above picture was taken in front of Causeway Bay’s shop. Prices there are relatively cheap compared to European prices. For having some knowledge and knowhow in electronic music, I can tell samplers and beatboxes can be as far as half the price in Hong Kong compared to France for example. If you wish to buy one there and start dancing under HongKong-styled homemade beats, don’t forget to buy an adaptor too, for the plugs are designed for Hong Kong only.
