Affordable clothes at Bossini

After having reviewed popular electronic devices brands in the past weeks, let’s now start with clothes brands. They’re plenty of them in Hong Kong and I will rather focus on affordable ones. This week’s special brand is Bossini (堡獅龍), a retail brand for inexpensive and casual clothing. Examples of prices: polos starting at HKD 69, jeans starting at HKD 150. Quite a difference with European prices, and quality is good (nothing to see with fake jeans sold in the ladies’ market for instance). Bossini’s retail outlets are located all around Hong Kong and the recent green rebranding makes them even more visible.

Luckily, fashion affects everything, even men’s shoes. Now prada shoes will also be introducing a line for men, like the one introduced by the diesel shoes.

hahahahaha, many Chinese come to France in January for sales. And European seek cheap stuffs in HK. Honestly, I do think we have a different view in brand. Every time when I go back to Asia, every time I wonder why so many people shop brand. In Japan almost every lady has a LV accessory and China is expected to become the largest luxury consumer in 2010.(if my memory is good :)) However, here in France, I observe there are fewer luxury goods consumer when you walk in the street. Even if there are, they seems more discrete. Paradox ! Since we know most luxury brands come from France … Please do correct if I made mistake or you have other opinions.:) btw: I had an embarrassing experience with Customs police. Last week I had a trip with my friends. Two of them are big fans of brand goods. During our trip, our car was stopped by the customs police. After “Bonjour”, the first question was “except this counterfeit wallet do you have any other illegal goods”. Well, I feel shamed… Hey, dear customs police, not all Chinese buy counterfeit !!! :s

I think luxury is apart; but talking about daily casual wear or electronic stuff, I’d rather buy everything at once directly in Hong Kong (the money saved would compensate for the trip). And I know Hong Kong is far from being the cheapest place in Asia (just the one I know best :). I just can’t stand to buy “made in China” goods in France where they’re sold ten times their price .

Well, I am totally agree with you. Life in France becomes much more expensive than it was when I came here for the first time. It is really funny. I do remember the first time when I went to Japan, everything was expensive for me. And now, thanks to the exchange rate and their economic policy (low/zero inflation), it just becomes a paradise :P
